About me
This year marks my 31st as a professional public educator. Over the course of three decades, I taught elementary music, third and fourth grades, sixth grade reading intervention, served as a curriculum specialist, a campus administrator, and now as a District Literacy Coach. I began my career in Aldine ISD. After a few years, I transitioned to a district closer to my home. Later I was provided an opportunity to move to Houston ISD which led to several advancements and expansion of my experiences in education. I returned to Aldine ISD post-pandemic and have thrived in the supportive environment. Over the course of my career I learned to love working with teachers to improve student outcomes. I spent several years supporting Literacy By 3 in Houston ISD and was (and still am) enthusiastic about the implementation of knowledge-based curriculum in Aldine.I look forward to interacting with participants in my session and hope to provide them with a beneficial learning experience.
