About me
Although this is Kathryn's second career, she has been in education with primarily serving and supporting urban schools for over two decades. She started her career as an ELA and American Studies high school teacher in Spring ISD, went on to become a K-12 District Coach to serve at 26 campuses, a K-12 Development Specialist, and School Improvement Specialist. She is a Servant Leader who tries to ensure to never forget what it was like to be a classroom teacher. She specializes in campus improvement, where she partners with educational leadership staff at various schools to assist them in achieving double-digit growth both in Spring ISD and for one year in Magnolia ISD. Her experience of growing up as an under-resourced student where education was discouraged in her family, as well as serving and supporting Title I campuses, has allowed her to present at various conferences including at the national, state, regional, and local level. She is honored to once again present to ELA teachers at an Aldine ISD District Staff Development!
In her "free time", she leads a Christian women's leadership group on Thursday evenings (Pinnacle Forum), spends time with her family where she lives in Grimes County, and enjoys being out in nature, and taking cruises. She is currently working on the "Encouragement for the Exhausted Educator" vlog which will come out in early 2025.
Please feel free to contact her at klcraig@aldineisd.org, as she has a passion for partnering with educators to ensuring the successful learning of ALL students!
