Aldine’s mission is to provide a rigorous and enriching educational experience that prepares every student for success in college, career, and life. Preparing students for college, career, and life also means that students will have to complete certain items to transition into their next phase of life. This session will focus on highlighting the importance that ELAR content experts play in postsecondary preparation. This session will also explore the ways that we will partner with the CCMR teams to support TSI readiness and FAFSA. This workshop style session includes a training on TSI and resources, along with a FAFSA training as well.
This session equips educators with strategies to engage students in meaningful discussions by modeling facilitation techniques and designing prompts based on AVID WICOR strategies. Participants will also create a resource bank of sentence stems to promote academic language and enhance classroom discourse.
